Designed by the late Severiano Ballesteros, Alhaurín Golf offers stunning views of the Mijas mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Located in Mijas, it is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Spain, not far from the famous Mijas Golf Valley.
The 18-hole, Par 72 course. Situated on rugged terrain, this course has a unique character. Combined with Severiano Ballesteros’ original design, it presents a challenge for experienced golfers while remaining accessible to players of all levels. It consists of 5 Par 3s, 5 Par 5s, and 8 Par 4s. Throughout these 18 holes, players can enjoy the stunning contrast of the natural surroundings and the wild beauty of the Sierra de Mijas.
It is, however, a very challenging course, especially for first-time players. But for fans of crazy golf, it’s an ideal spot. As with all Severiano Ballesteros designs, simplicity is never the norm.
A golf cart is almost essential.
The 9-hole, Par 3 course. Also designed by Severiano Ballesteros, this course is not only excellent for beginners but also a fantastic place to practice the short game.
