Southern Spain
Located between Estepona and Sotogrande, La Duquesa Golf is an 18-hole course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones. Its rolling terrain presents a technical challenge with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and Gibraltar.
The front nine holes are often described as "English style," featuring narrow fairways and elevated greens that require precise shot-making. In contrast, the back nine are more open, allowing for greater flexibility while offering spectacular vistas.
Hole No. 4 is one of the most technical on the course, requiring careful shot placement to navigate the numerous natural hazards. Meanwhile, hole 15 provides a panoramic view of La Duquesa Port and Gibraltar, making for an unforgettable experience.
This course is one of the most affordable on the Costa del Sol, attracting both casual golfers and seasoned players. While some fairways can be inconsistent in condition, the stunning setting and varied layout make it a worthwhile golfing destination.
