Southern Spain
The San Roque Old Course is one of Spain’s most prestigious golf courses, surrounded by lush hills and historic cork oak forests. Designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 1991, it is consistently ranked among the country’s top five courses.
Recently acquired by a private group, the course has undergone a complete renovation to provide exceptional playing conditions. The fairways are impeccably maintained, and the layout has been slightly softened, making the experience more accessible while preserving its technical challenge.
The front nine holes wind through a dense cork oak forest, offering an intimate setting and a strategic challenge. The back nine are dominated by water hazards, requiring precision and strategic thinking on every shot. The 18th hole delivers a memorable finish with a well-protected green.
