The Real Club Valderrama is one of the most famous golf courses in the world. Located in Sotogrande, this legendary course hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, making it the first course in continental Europe to hold this major event.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Valderrama offers a technical layout where every hole requires strategy and precision. Its immaculate fairways and demanding greens make it a true test for top-level golfers.
Beyond the Ryder Cup, Valderrama has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the Volvo Masters for over 20 years, the American Express World Championship, and more recently, LIV Golf events. The course is consistently ranked among Europe’s best.
Hole No. 4, known as "La Cascada", is one of the most iconic on the course. This par-5 features a double-tiered green guarded by a stunning water hazard, providing a challenge worthy of the world’s best players.
